The Manager, Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for managing a team of commodity leads in the development and execution of strategies to improve security of supply (second sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, etc.) and achieving annual cost savings targets. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Manage a team of commodity leads to develop robust strategies for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts and achieving annual cost savings targets + Analyze data related to cost savings and supplier performance to provide direction and prioritization to commodity leads + Identify and execute process improvements to enable streamlined cost savings projects and supplier management + Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers including negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring a reliable supply of goods and services + Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality, efficiency, or on time delivery and manage cross-functional projects to reduce costs + Monitor global market trends to identify price fluctuations and opportunities for cost reduction + Review and approve contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with organizational policies The essential requirements of the job include : + Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operation Management or Engineering + Must have 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or related field with the ability to analyze and assimilate data into decisions + Must have 3+ years of experience managing a team within supply chain with demonstrated performance driving process improvements + Experience in Project Management, Supplier Management, and New Product Commercialization + Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines + Experience with global a global supply base and sourcing in best cost countries Phenomenex, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
