Provide leadership, support, and strategic direction for clinical laboratory information systems, connectivity, and supporting platforms
Lead technology execution and implementations for key clients ensuring seamless delivery of IT servicesWork with various development teams and product managers in the development and administration of the departmental budget and new enhancement requestsWorks together with software developers, business stakeholders, and supporting resources to plan and execute projectsFoster strong client relationships and drive key technology solutionsAct as primary liaison for strategic clientsManage escalations and monitor system performance with a proactive approachDelegates tasks to, organizes, mentors and motivates a team of developers, specialists, and connectivity resourcesFosters a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this cultureReview of the product architectural design, requirements specifications, and test specificationsDetermine and/or approve estimates for development tasksTechnical assessment of the impact of any changes to product requirementsProvision of day-to-day technical guidance to other members of the project teamAlert the Development Lead and Project Manager to any issues that may cause variance to the project schedule and require remedial action to be takenHighlight, review and mitigate technical risksProvide the project team with support and guidance on project specific processes, procedures, tools, and techniquesContribute to the continued improvement of the organization’s development procedures by looking for opportunities for improvement and implementing solutionsResolution of technical issues in conjunction with team membersIdentification of technology training requirementsSteward of process improvement initiativesCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s polices and applicable lawsResponsible for interviewing potential candidates, hiring, training, oversight of daily activities and performance appraisals of his/her employees
Education Required:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field including MLT, MTRequired Technical Training & Professional Licensing:
Minimum of 5 years of analyst experience including at least 1-2 years of project management or direct management related activities Desirable: Experience working within the medical laboratory industry, hospitals, or healthcare clinic environmentDesirable: Experience with Six Sigma and/or CMMi principles and processesPreferred: Supervisory experiencePreferred Work Experience:
