Job Description

Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications, and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 6,500 users globally. As the Manager, Software Distribution and Desktop Applications, you will be responsible for running, improving, and supporting software delivery along with its associated tools. You will also be responsible for the configuration, management and lifecycle of desktop software used by the enterprise.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following attributes.

Note: Night and Weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and coordinate software release and distribution activities across multiple teams.

· Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.

· Implement and optimize release management processes, tools, and best practices.

· Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements for all software releases.

· Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues related to software distribution.

· Monitor and report on the status of releases, including progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

· Lead post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

· Develop and manage documentation related to release management processes and procedures.

· Provide leadership and guidance to the release management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

· Manage the configuration and lifecycle of desktop applications used within the enterprise.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Minimum 7 years of experience in software release management, distribution, or a related role.

· Proven experience managing complex software release cycles in an agile development environment.

· Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management best practices.

· Advanced knowledge of SCCM

· Experience with Software Packaging

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

· Experience with release management tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Jira).

· Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment practices (e.g., AWS, Azure).

· Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
