Are you looking for new challenges and solving hard problems at Amazon scale? Join us and you'll accelerate Store Builders at Amazon to deploy federated shopping experiences!

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager (SDM) on the Flow Foundations team, you will lead a team of engineers to solve challenging technical and business problems. You will use your technical skills, leadership, and partnership with stakeholders to design, build, and evolve the systems in this space. You will be the product owner of your space, and will work closely with business teams, product managers, engineers, and partner teams to create and drive plans that transform visionary ideas into capabilities and features that delight your customers.

* Lead and develop a team of software development engineers that operates at the scale of the Amazon Store within an Agile environment
* Thinking big and working with executive leadership and business stakeholders to define strategy and roadmap.
* Management and execution against roadmap, project plans and delivery commitments
* Set up mechanisms to monitor operational excellence while meeting/exceeding system SLAs (e.g. Availability, Latency).
* Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
* Work with your team to define and develop an inclusive team culture that fosters individual growth and team success.
* Provide a work environment that allows employees to have fun and advance in their careers.

A day in the life
This is a wide-ranging role that involves partnering closely with other technical leaders, engaging with internal customers and influencing program leaders. As an SDM, you completely own your space and are empowered to define strategy, roadmap and the metrics. This requires managing overall product, including execution and delivery by a specialized team that is at the center of Amazon’s next-generation architecture. One day you may be contributing to key documents, and another you may be leading sprint planning for your team, or general product prioritization and execution. Next, you may be plugged into an important operational issue that is impacting the health of the Store, influencing your team to make the best decision for the customer in the moment.
