Manager, R&D Process & Technology Development
Work Flexibility: Onsite

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving process development milestones on two or more new product introductions (NPI’s). You will have responsibility for up to 9 direct reports with varying levels of experience. You will lead a team of Advance Operations Project Management and process engineers tasked with the project management and process development for NPI projects used to manufacture catheters, guidewires and implantable neurovascular devices.

What You Will Do:You will be an effective partner across all functions within divisional and operations organizations to deliver new products to market, in a timely manner.You will provide clear direction on projects and define priorities for the team.You will successfully determine project scope, scale, resource & financial requirements etc. for each new product. You will also be accountable for capital & expense budgets.You will critically assess new product charters & financial plans to extrapolate key deliverables such as standard cost and launch requirements.You will identify, hire and manage new talent as needed to validate and release new processes and equipment to production in line with Stryker systems & specifications.You will collaborate with counterparts in the broader organization on common NPI issues and resolutions.You will provide direction to the team in complex or difficult situations, remove obstacles, assign appropriate resources and interface with other functions to assist with issue resolution.You will establish priorities imparting a sense of urgency and importance to effectively deliver new products per quality, cost and time constraints.

What You Need (Required)Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.8+ years’ technical experience in a product or process development role.2+ years’ experience in people management.

Preferred Skills:Results driven with strong leadership skills.Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes.Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills essential. Demonstrated leadership, project management, process validation and engineering experience in new product introduction, with a history of bringing products to market.Experience with process mapping, FMEA, DFM, scrap reduction, Lean and class 6 clean roomsYou should enjoy working in a dynamic & results oriented team based environment.

Travel Percentage: 10%
