Job Description

The Manager, Partnerships - Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) is responsible for working with partnerships leadership and other stakeholders to implement the programmatic setup of partnership opportunities.  Includes analysis of target segments, commercial structures, product bundles for those target segments, in support of the commercialization, and productization of partnerships.  Also includes the implementation and management of partnership processes, governance, and end-to-end lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the partner landscape and will support leadership in defining the RaIS partnership strategy. They will have knowledge of the global payments landscape and associated risk, identity, and fraud topics.

The successful candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships and interface with leadership, peers, internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers. The role will collaborate with other partner-facing teams and a range of internal stakeholders including technology, GTM, and other partner-facing teams.

They must have an interest in working with risk-based products and teams through all phases of a product’s lifecycle – from concept through management and ultimately sunset. They should have the ability to leverage well-structured empirical and financial artifacts to support their business plans and strategy. They should have strong project management and execution abilities.

The successful candidate will support the execution of partnership opportunities from concept to launch. This may include supporting the evaluation of partnership opportunities, identifying potential partners, performing structured analysis to evaluate the commercial value, proactively socializing to develop the right level of commitment through that process, and collaborating to develop actionable plans.

Above all, this person must intrinsically be a champion for Visa’s risk products and promote usage within the company and to global clients. This position may require occasional travel to client sites and Visa locations around the globe.

Responsibilities:

You will support the development and implementation of frameworks for evaluating partnership opportunities, target segments, and commercial structures in the context of our key business objectivesYou will collaborate with Partnership, Product, and Technical leadership to develop and implement solutions for client use cases across segmentsSupport commercialization and productization efforts for partnership opportunities.Maintain a deep understanding of RaIS, VAS, and broader Visa businesses to provide a holistic understanding of the implications for potential partnerships.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the fintech and vendor landscape of potential partners relevant to our fraud, risk, and identity businessLead continuous project planning and project management in support of global business strategy and operationsYou will maintain collaborative relationships with partner-facing teams (e.g., Digital Partners), and with VAS sales and regional teams across VisaYou will conduct structured, objective business analysis of partnership opportunities

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)You have prior experience leading multi-functional teams through product/software development and commercialization efforts2 or more years’ experience in Product Strategy and/or Management with increasing levels of demonstrated people-leadership responsibilities.You have hands-on experience developing partnerships with a proven track record of successful business impactIn-depth knowledge of Visa risk products with the ability to identify potential synergies gained through partnership offerings, or market gaps.Familiarity with current risk threat vectors associated with small- and mid-size businessesStrong track record working with risk products that have had tangible and quantifiable benefits to clients (e.g., reducing fraud cases, liability shift, etc.).Specific industry experience in digital commerce including managing products with distribution cross a variety of devices and implementation methods.Understanding of payments, fraud and authentication landscape and ability to translate product strategy into executable plans.Strong passion for payment fraud space, data management and analysis.Ability to build relationships and gain exposure to internal and external client leadership teams through demonstrating key domain expertise.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 122,500 to 152,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
