Manager, Money Markets Franchise

Job Description

Management and execution capability for Money markets franchise product offerings, profit & loss, the development of workflow strategy for money market products including sales marketing toolkits, product development and assisting with setting the pricing strategy. Improve the client experience, modernising of money markets through digitization, supporting the sales teams with client engagements, pricing and improvements in offering of product solutions which are aligned to client requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:

Product and Pricing development

Researching new product offerings and working closely with flow sales teams to obtain a better understanding market shares and competitor pressures.Act as an interface with Head of Business Enablement and provide input into the product development governance and operational process including managing the requirements for new product offerings as well as prioritisation of requirement at the various key strategic forums.Drive the continuous improvement to the client pricing strategy and tiering models to ensure optimisation of revenue and product mix for the ZAR and FCY Client Franchise business.Work closely with the Head of Money Markets in the development of the CIB/GM Liability Strategy, implementation, and product harmonisation between Transactional Banking and Global markets.Engagement with Global markets digital and strategy enablement teams on the use of analytical tools (eg smart nudge), including improvements to the client engagement model.Provide input into the pricing of money market products taking into consideration profitability, market pressures and the bank’s liquidity requirements.Drive the development of the Money markets digitisation journey, working closely with the Global Markets digital team and provide input based on money market business requirements.Act as an interface between flow sales and money markets treasury in fund raising activities.Provide input on sales incentivisation framework and work closely with senior management and client coverage teams in the implementation of the framework for money market and treasury products.Primary engagement with the strategy enablement and GMT analytics on the enhancements to client revenue tracking process

The above requires detailed product understanding on a wide range of money market products and Funds Transfer pricing

Money Market Franchise Management

Co-ordination and preparation of the Money market quarterly business review meeting and presentation -taking into consideration input from the senior stakeholders on strategic agenda initiatives.Manage the monthly meetings with regional head of sales to discuss revenue performances, leakages, client insights, competitor analysis (market share and pricing)Act as the subject matter expert and provide support to the sales team in the understanding of the characteristics, pricing and differentiation of the money market products during client engagements.

Africa Regions

Support the AR money market franchise enablement teams in the improvements to product offerings, client revenue tracking and reporting.Work with the regional teams in providing and upskilling the various teams in money market products.

Wholesale client engagement model development

Implement and harmonise the TPS and MM digital strategy roadmaps.Drive improvements to the Money Markets data architecture and manage the prioritisation of money markets business requirements related to data. This requires working closely with the Client Strategy Enablement team.

Management Reporting and Continuous improvements

Performing Balance sheet analysis and margin analysis for the Money market products for the purposes of margin reporting. Ensure that there is a clear segmentation of client and liquidity management revenue.Performing P&L forecasting, budgeting for the money market franchise with the key focus on business strategy, not product control or financial reportingIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation of systems, processes and practises and recommend there to more experienced team members/management.Managing the lifecycle of new product developments and implementation

Stakeholder and Client Engagement

Provide support and direction to the flow sales teams through the weekly and monthly meetings to obtain a better understanding of client insights, market/competitive pressure, and products innovation.Build on Transaction Banking and GM flow sales engagements for more co-ordinated liquidity management across CIB

 

Qualifications
