The Manager, Medical Staff is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and supervising all Medical Staff activities. This role acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Administration, and external regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with established parameters. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining medical staff bylaws, overseeing credentialing processes, and facilitating effective communication among various stakeholders.

Assume administrative oversight of credentialing, compliance, and privileging for Medical and Allied Health Professional staff. Be responsible for preparing accreditation survey documents and maintaining a strong understanding of Medical Staff Bylaws.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains organizational systems and processes for the operations of the Medical Staff OfficeOrganizes, coordinates, and supervises the Credentialing, appointment, and reappointment processesOversees the scheduling and coordination of Medical Staff meetings in collaboration with the appropriate physician leadershipManages the department budget and oversees the Medical Staff finances and dues collectionAttends and coordinates select committee and departmental meetingsFollows through on department and committee recommendations and correspondence to physiciansCollaborates to maintain Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and RegulationsProficient in Microsoft suite programs and experience with MD Staff credentialing systemActs as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Administration, and all hospital departments and committeesDemonstrates knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards and CMS Conditions of ParticipationParticipates in the education of the Medical Staff regarding changes in Bylaws, Rules RegulationsMaintains current documents of privileges and attendance listsParticipates in the peer review process and collaborates with the Quality Risk Management DepartmentParticipates in the Medical Staff preparation for Accreditation surveyPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested#LI-DP1

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

At least five (5) years of experience in a Medical Staff office, two (2) of which in a Leadership role or leading projects/project management experience

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

CPMSM, CPCS, preferred, if not currently certified, certification must be acquired within two (2) years of hire date

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

At least five (5) years of experience in a Medical Staff office, two (2) of which in a Leadership role or leading projects/project management experience

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

CPMSM, CPCS, preferred, if not currently certified, certification must be acquired within two (2) years of hire date
