About Evidence Action

At Evidence Action, we deliver data-driven interventions that transform lives at an unprecedented scale. We identify neglected global health issues and deploy proven solutions, forging healthier futures for generations.

Our model operationalizes leading academic research (including from Nobel-winning economists). We measure progress and outcomes at every stage to ensure we’re making a real impact for people living in poverty and suffering from preventable or treatable health issues. Operating across 9 countries, our team of 800+ has reached over 500 million people, working closely with governments to scale these interventions.

Our Deworm the World program has delivered over 2 billion treatments, significantly reducing worm prevalence and generating more than $23 billion in lifetime productivity gains.  Through Safe Water Now, we’ve saved the lives of over 15,000 children.  Our Accelerator explores untapped opportunities in global health, testing low-cost interventions with the greatest potential to save and improve lives.

At Evidence Action, your colleagues are your greatest asset. You'll partner with high-caliber colleagues in an environment blending innovation, autonomy, and teamwork. Our team excels in disruptive thinking and believes in rolling up our sleeves to get things done. If you're looking to work flexibly and with purpose, join a team that delivers measurable change for millions.

About the MNCH Team

Evidence Action’s Accelerator is our engine for growth. The Accelerator is a unique model in global development, designed to select and massively scale only those programs which meet exceptional standards for cost-effectiveness  and scalability. Focusing on health, nutrition, and WASH, we evaluate scores of interventions and employ a venture capital-type ‘funnel’ model to exit those which do not meet our criteria. The result is a select set of programs for which we develop delivery models and scale to deliver outsized value for millions of people across Africa and Asia.

The Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) pillar drives the development of MNCH-related interventions within the Accelerator process. The MNCH pillar aims to identify cost-effective, evidence based, and values-aligned interventions, working closely with the New Program Development (NPD) team to move these through the pipeline: we shift from evaluating evidence, to designing and piloting new programs, and eventually to launching at-scale. Currently, the highest priority programs within the MNCH pillar are the provision of reading glasses for adults and developing incentives for early childhood immunization. Additionally, the MNCH pillar houses our existing Syphilis-Free Start program, which was launched in Liberia in 2020, and Zambia and Cameroon in 2022, and is currently exploring additional countries for program expansion.

Review written research deliverables and weigh in on whether new programs should progress through the Accelerator pipeline. Support in country scoping activities to inform the feasibility of launching new programs. In close collaboration with the new program development team, lead early implementation activities, including surveys and pilots.

Operationalize new and existing MNCH programs

Support fundraising for new programs, including identifying potential donors and proposal development. Design program implementation strategies and approaches. Provide technical and strategic leadership to the implementation of new programs. In close collaboration with regional and country teams, develop and oversee work plans related to program implementation. Support the Syphilis-Free Start program, as needed.

Relationship management
