General Function\n

Determine optimal logistics strategies and tactics for the effective transportation and distribution of products from a centralized distribution center, as well as domestic and international vendor shipping to store customers and store delivery. Manages the development, performance, and maintenance of the organization's transportation to produce an efficient transportation service, maximizing performance, value, and profitability. The role will include the oversight and direction of store-to-customer deliveries via private fleets and third-party carriers.\n

Essential Responsibilities\nLogistics and Transportation Management\n\nPlan and direct operational execution of all aspects of international and domestic inbound, outbound, and parcel\/LTL transportation programs.\n\n\nTranslate strategies into specific goals, tactics, action plans, and deliverables for the internal team\nUtilize and update the Transportation Management System (TMS) to route and optimize freight movements, manage carrier performance, and drive efficiencies. \nFacilitate and manage the selection of transportation providers, negotiation, and maintenance of transportation contracts. \nEngage in many network optimization-related projects\/activities\nResolve freight delays, carrier problems, or vendor issues; escalate risks or opportunities as appropriate.\nMeet with carrier representatives regularly to evaluate performance, resolve issues, and provide feedback. \nDevelop and manage store-to-customer deliveries via private fleet and third-party carriers\nWork cross-functionally to meet cost projections\n\n

Trade Compliance and Support \n\nDevelop policies and implement compliance plans and training regarding HAZMAT and Homeland Security shipping requirements and training\nManage the Anti-corruption due diligence process of international customs brokers and freight forwarders\nOversee the company's Product Classification Request program to ensure all goods are properly classified for imports and exports\nMaintains responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal\/statutory, regulations, professional duties, responsibilities, and obligations. \nManaging accurate shipment documentation, including the generation of the requisite shipping and import\/export documentation, as well as, the generation of import\/export documentation\n\n

People Management \n\nLeverage leadership techniques to influence change and execution. \nDevelop and monitor onboarding training for new team members. \nEstablish performance measures and hold the team accountable. \nProvide leadership and coaching, and training and development opportunities to support associates' continued development and enrichment. Perform evaluations and periodic reviews. Build and maintain a team atmosphere. \n\nLeadership\n\nLeverage leadership techniques to influence change and execution\nDevelop & monitor onboarding training for new team members\nConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive\nHandles discipline and termination of employees as needed and following company policy.\nMaintains recognition and engagement of team members.\n\nOther Duties\n

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, or related field preferred\nMinimum of 5 years experience in supply chain or operations management\nExperience working within ERP and TMS systems.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and present information.\nStrong mathematical skills including measurements, calculations, and volumes.\nAnalytical skills to review data and identify trends and anomalies.\nForklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified.\nStrong knowledge of Google Suite and\/or Microsoft Office.\nAbility to work from more than one location and\/or remotely.\n\nPhysical Requirements \/ Work Environment\n
