YOUR ROLE: Leads the team that designs, plans, builds, and supports the company’s global computing network. Provides architectural and project management leadership for all major initiatives. Plans for appropriate staffing and documentation to ensure maintenance and support excellence. Participates in overall business planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems as related to Promega's business needs. Interacts with all business areas in determining overall information systems approach and requirements. CORE DUTIES: 1. Technical leadership – leads the team that provides the following global services: computing data networks, VoIP voice services, unified voice/data communications, email services, servers and operating systems, application support, SAN data management, and data center management. Cloud Architecture & Applications will direct the activities, priorities, and initiatives of Promega’s team of engineers and architects responsible for Promega’s cloud environments (Microsoft Azure). This role will be responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, expansion, and support of Promega’s Microsoft Azure presence. 2. Technology planning - brings understanding of current and future technology trends into management planning and decision making to support business objectives. 3. Network roadmap and budget - plans, budgets and oversees procurement process of computing and voice/data networking hardware, software, and services. 4. Direct, coordinate and advance the initiatives to maintain, support and enhance Promega’s cloud (Azure) environment. 5. Lead and provide strategic direction to the team of experienced IT professionals responsible for all aspects of Promega’s Azure presence. 6. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop cloud capabilities and skills among the workforce though the development and implementation of training plans. 7. Develop strategic Cloud Operations and Information Security roadmaps, incorporating cloud solutions to meet business objectives. 8. Project delivery - ensures that detailed project plans are developed for all major projects, updates are communicated and milestones are met. Ensures delivery of expected business benefits on time and within budget. 9. Quality - reviews quality of key deliverables, focusing on satisfying business objectives and meeting business benefits. 10. Security – ensures the security of Promega’s networks and data. 11. Processes and metrics - ensures Network Systems policies, processes and procedures are in place and operating effectively. 12. Communication – builds partnerships with key departments and leaders. Communicates network plans, project progress and critical issues to Promega management and staff. 13. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Degree in Information Technologies or related business or technical area, and minimum of 5-7 years management experience. 2. Proven track record of successful management in the areas of systems design and architecture, network operations, server technology. 3. Experience with Cloud technologies and methodologies, Azure in particular. 4. Strong business orientation, with demonstrated ability to bring the benefits of Information Technology to solve business issues while also managing costs and risk. 5. Strong organizational and management skills. 6. Proven ability to recruit and retain a high quality team. 7. Experience managing the development and administration of Information Systems methodologies, policies and procedures. 8. Proven effective communications with all levels of staff and management and external vendors and consultants. 9. Ability to learn quickly, understand and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT Technology space. 10. Experience and/or training in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining Cloud workloads and infrastructure. 11. Experience with Cloud technologies and methodologies, Azure in particular. 12. Effective negotiation skills for contract management PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Technical expertise in the following areas: global data network services, VoIP voice services, unified voice/data communications, email services, server operating systems, application support, SAN data management, data center management, Azure Cloud resources. 2. Management experience of global networks and systems in multiple locations. 3. Experience with ERP implementations. 4. Global project management. 5.
