What You Will Do
Perform a complete planning of the manufacturing elements of the new product introductions, including organize project team; work with team to finish RFQ in time: including operation process, cost; generate appropriate schedules. Work with process engineers to complete cost calculations to optimize the balance of in-house vs. subcontracted manufacturing; prepare target/actual comparisons with regard to required capacities and work with all stakeholders to develop investment costs and production times; propose design changes based on feedback from manufacturing and calculate related cost savings.Manage the Industrialization Plan, including define build plan, work with team to calculate and define standard times based on ED,DV,PV build qty requirements and resources from M3 to M10; control and monitor the build, react as needed to cover any delay or risk; delivery sample according to master schedule.Review build status, lead and feedback DFx(DFA,DFM, DFT) report, build report to related teamPlan Projects, including for large-scale projects, verify feasibility of production given forecast demands and current and planned production capacities. Ensure that any necessary adjustments to production requirements or capacities are made, with participation of all stakeholders; assess risk with regard to scheduling and cost. proactively manage the risk; assemble and lead teams as required to accomplish this.Manage Projects, including develop schedules, including key milestones, PE and TE equipment with proper process setting; perform detailed costing and budgeting for each investment item, dividing each item into base and type-specific costs; initiate and manage the approval of funds, including the development and tracking of any necessary CAR or Project approvals; track project performance and schedule. Take corrective action as necessary; ensure compliance with commercial and technical objectives; leading transfer to target plant.Manage Capital Expenditures, including work with local and global team members to develop and justify capital expenditure proposals.Monitor and report on capital expenditures at the plant level throughout the fiscal yearWhat You Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering , Industrial Relations or other manufacturing-related disciplinesMinimum 8 years Project Management experience managing projects throughout product lifecycle from development to SOP.Ability to work effectively within a matrix environmentPMP certification preferredWhat is Nice to Have
Understanding and working in matrix organizations that have centralized and de-centralized structures as business requirements changeDemonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and perform effectively in a fast-paced matrixed environmentClear and strategic thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plansCapable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completionProven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organizationStrong analytical and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and balance workload to meet deadlinesAttention to detail, multi-tasking and strong follow through requiredHARMAN is proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
