Job Summary

Develop and implement inventory management strategy that supports the boarder company goals for capital management without compromising uptime and equipment maintenance requirements. Leads Transocean inventory management practices and associated personnel to set and maintain appropriate inventory levels and inventory targets on the rig
Develop and manage reporting & tracking tools for the organization to effectively manage inventory. Ensure warehouses (all facilities) are adequately managed and in compliance with Transocean’s policies, processes and controls. Continuously engage and educate the Ops team (including OMCs).

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Planning and strategy: Develop and implement methods to achieve goal and objective.Comms and Education: Engage with OMC, Rig Management and Operations Managers to educate and maintain control of inventory, this includes rig visit at least quarterly.Analytics and reporting: Develop reporting tools, monitor and analyze data to drive outcomes.Hub & centralize WHS: Develop and manage Hubs and centralized whs to optimize global inventory level while maintaining (or increasing) support level to operations.Inventory management: Set Min/Max levels for 80% of inventory and manage Change request from the rigs.Collaboration: Engage with other support organization (IT, Maintenance, reliability, etc.) to ensure inventory strategy is aligned with other efforts. Collaborate with Key vendors to drive and influence their strategic spare part stocking philosophy to support Transocean People development: Coach and set training requirement for subordinate and Offshore Materials Coordinators.

Education:

Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain ManagementPreferred Level: Master's Degree Supply Chain Management

Experience:

Minimum Required: 5+ years of related experiencePreferred Level: 10+ years of related experience

Leadership and communications; Change management; Data analytics; Forecasting; Inventory analytics

Pre-Requisite/Qualification:

Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.
