Manager, Instructional Designer

The candidate should have minimum 5 years experience in curriculum/instructional writing, preferably in the eLearning field. **Key Responsibilities:** **Project / Service Delivery** + Manage a team of eLearning designers and developers to conceive, design, develop, and evaluate training modules. + Manage multiple projects with minimal guidance + Review course design to ensure the quality of the content as related to effective learning design, consistency, accuracy, instructional language, and relevance to curriculum needs and requirements. + Facilitate creation of engaging and compelling digital learning content for business units across Manulife **Stakeholder Management** + Build strong relationships with business partners and project stakeholders. + Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and identify target audience's training needs **Process Improvement** + Monitor project progress and report on key metrics and improvement opportunities + Cultivate a continuous improvement within the organization + Practice and sharing industry best practices, case studies, new trends and tools **People Leader** + Identify technical skill gaps of team member and support their professional development through a structured, formal learning plan and regular feedback & coaching. + Model the MBPS Values in Action as well as other corporate governance & compliance policies such as but not limited to: Code of Employee Discipline, Data Privacy, Information Security, Risk Management, etc. **Qualifications:** + **Minimum Hiring Requirements - Knowledge & Skills** **Required:** 1. Advance proficiency with MS Office Suite, and Articulate Storyline 32. Knowledge and relevant application of instructional theories and adult learning principlesMust be able to show skills in people management.3. Ability to work with multicultural and virtual teams.4. Strong verbal communication, Project management, and presentation skills. **Desired:** 1. Knowledge and experience with Insurance Contact Center and Back-Office Operations 2. 2. Project Management Training: PMP, Agile, Scrum, etc. LEAN Six Sigma Training **Minimum Hiring Requirements – Experience** 1. At least 5 years of experience in curriculum/instructional design2. At least 3 years experience managing a team of learning or instructional design professionals4. Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail to translate highly technical subject matter to a global audience at various levels with clarity and accuracy5. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study6. Advanced MS Office Skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)6. Good interpersonal skills7. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills8. Demonstrated strong passion for continuous learning9.
