Job Title: Global Product Manager (GPM) - Microbiology, Proficiency Testing, and Toxicology (Micro, PT, & Tox) Reports To: VP & GM, Analytical Reference Materials (ARM) Position Location: Raleigh, NC (preferred) or Metuchen, NJ FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: The Global Product Manager (GPM) is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for the Microbiology, Proficiency Testing, and Toxicology (Micro, PT, and Tox) product portfolios and for spearheading associated improvement and implementation efforts with the goal of delivering strong growth, high profitability, and share gain for Antylia Scientific’s Analytical Reference Materials (ARM) business. This is a key leadership role within Antylia Scientific’s ARM business involving oversight of the marketing and selling of a strong and competitive portfolio of ARM products that outperform the competition and exceed customer expectations. The GPM for Micro, PT and Tox will partner with internal teams and leverage market and customer insights to enhance existing products and develop new and innovative products, thereby delivering outstanding outcomes for Antylia Scientific’s ARM business. Key Responsibilities: + Profit and Loss (P&L) oversight of global revenues and margins, along with driving growth of the Micro, PT, and Tox product portfolios by creating strong and innovative strategic plans for growth within the ARM global marketplace. + Driving revenue growth through overall product life cycle management - including, but not limited to, product line vision & strategy, product portfolio road mapping, new product development in collaboration with Project Management, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and the Global Commercial teams. Implementation of appropriate programs to internally develop, contract manufacture, license, or source appropriate products with the goal of growing revenue and improving profitability of the assigned product portfolios. + Guiding product area efforts - including coordination with Corporate Development (M&A), Project Management, R&D, Quality, Operations, and other departments/functions to ensure the product roadmap achieves the desired market-positioning. + Anticipating and responding to market and customer needs by optimizing product portfolios across a plurality of applications and market segments - both existing and new. + Supporting e-commerce tied to multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems – as needed to maintain data quality and integrity. + Developing product focused strategies with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to drive market share growth. + Supporting and training the Global Commercial Teams and Customer Experience colleagues on both new and existing products. + Developing and implementing appropriate and effective global pricing strategies in partnership with Antylia Scientific’s Pricing Team – to maximize profitability and margins. + Partnering with Supply Chain colleagues to support supplier consolidation and cost reduction initiatives. + Partnering with Operations and Quality to support process improvements and advise as necessary on product specifications and associated documentation. + Executing competitive assessments and Voice Of Customer (VOC) derived market research to gain insights informing competitive, differentiated product strategies. Demonstrate strong global market understanding and staying current on market direction and drivers through a variety of means including, but not limited to, direct interactions with customers, outside suppliers, partners, industry contacts, competitors, as well as via careful review of relevant market reports. + Gathering and preparing all necessary product and technical information and content for the introduction of new products. Overseeing the generation of ongoing product documentation, applications, and testimonials for all products to enable an exceptional customer experience, drive brand awareness, and ensure customer loyalty. + Demonstrate the curiosity, enthusiasm, and wherewithal to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) related initiatives into daily work. + Perform other duties as assigned. Education: + Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A / B.S.) with a major in the life sciences, e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, etc. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA / Master’s Degree / Ph.D.) is preferred. + Must have direct technical experience working in a clinical or a research laboratory within the life sciences or in a biotechnology field. Experience + Must have at least 2-4 years of experience working as a Product Manager and/or in a Product Development function. Additional experience developing marketing plans and tactics is a plus. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: + Potential candidates should have relevant experience in the following areas: + Proven record of commercial success within one or more product areas. + Prior commercial experience in a product management organization. + A technical background in science that includes an awareness of technology trends and the evolution of scientific applications. + Industry-related experience in the life sciences sector. + Understanding of regulated markets – especially as it pertains to the licensing of toxicology products (e.g., controlled substances). + Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and the ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision. The ability to build strong internal and external relationships. + The ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally. + The willingness to take calculated risks and the concomitant ability to recalibrate, adjust as necessary, and learn from mistakes. + A demonstrated ability to successfully balance the achievement of short-term objectives with longer-term strategic goals. + Strong negotiation skills, enabling effective representation of Antylia Scientific’s interests in the ongoing management and evolution of relationships with external suppliers. + Proficiency in standard computer applications, including but not limited to, the possession of excellent skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must be able to obtain, manipulate and analyze data – then compile information and effectively present findings as reports or presentations. + Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and works efficiently under pressure, whilst meeting tight deadlines and/or observing other essential constraints. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization as well as to external stakeholders. The ability to work within a matrixed environment. + Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
