What Will You Be Doing?

This position is responsible for managing the fleet of aircraft from a transactional perspective, including contract negotiations, lease payments, maintenance deposit payments, maintenance claim reimbursements, key supplier/vendor management (Airbus, CFM, Lockheed and Honeywell), forecasting fleet related expenses and reconciling and managing all fleet related internal audit requirements.

Essential Functions

Prepare approvals relating to lease payments and maintenance deposit payments for all aircraft and spare engines in the fleet Manage discussions with lessors relating to maintenance performed on aircraft and spare engines during the term of the lease Work with Maintenance and Engineering to understand the scope of maintenance being performed on the aircraft and the financial/contractual implications of the same Review all price calculations relating to delivery of new aircraft and obtain necessary approvals to accept the aircraft into the fleet Responsible for analyzing and presenting the appropriate methods to effectively lease/buy aircraft Prepare and manage the ongoing requirements of Fleet related RFPs (aircraft and spare engines) Establish and continue to develop relationships with all leasing and financing counterparties Review and obtain necessary approvals to efficiently manage fleet related aspects of any existing PDP facilities Evaluate market conditions and analyze financial implications of movements in the interest rate environment Manage communication with key vendors/suppliers (Airbus, CFM, Lockheed and Honeywell) ensuring smooth relay of information and timely resolution of disputes Provide senior management with periodic updates of the financial environment pertaining to leasing/buying aircraft Document all internal audit requirements pertaining to fleet and periodically prove compliance Forecasting fleet related inputs for budgeting purposes and ensuring the budget is accurately met Assist in developing finance & business presentations such as Board of Director presentations and lenders' presentations

 Other Functions

Assist with conducting Ad Hoc Requests for Proposals (RFPs), related financial modeling, contract negotiation, execution and management

 Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent field required; Master's Degree preferred 5+ years of experience performing fleet related treasury functions Experience in maintenance and MRO related aspects of airlines Prior experience reading and interpreting contracts preferred Previous airline/lessor experience preferred
