Manager, Corporate Controlling

Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Manager, Corporate Controlling like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities:

Forecasting

Engage with various internal stakeholders and business partnering Business teams to gather inputs needed for forecasting activities, provide insights and challenge Business teams on financial performance and efficiency to facilitate achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Budget planning process - Responsible for monthly and annual preparation of forecasting of Revenue, Margins, OPEX, Free Cash Flow (FCF) and Net Working Capital (NWC)

Perform monthly analysis of revenue performance and growth, NWC, costs variances, margin reports and KPIs, identify and document significant variances between actual and planned results to recognize the key causes for performance measurement

Submit FCF forecasting reporting on a weekly basis, monitor and report variances between actual vs plan on a weekly/monthly basis to the central Controlling team

Reporting and SLA

Perform quarterly intercompany charge-outs in accordance with established timelines and procedures

Regular review and update of Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Others

Prepare the annual Service man-hour rate to enable the Service teams to recalibrate their costing quotes to customers

Be a catalyst for bringing in continuous improvements in processes to improve the operational and financial effectiveness

Perform financial feasibility studies and support financial projects as and when required

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 6-7 years of relevant working experience in Business Planning, Budgeting, or similar roles at a multinational corporation

Degree or Diploma in Finance or Business from a reputable institution and/or equivalent professional qualifications

Proficiency in working with SAP and MS Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and manage multi-level stakeholder engagements

Strong financial modeling and analysis skills; good business acumen and ability to identify data anomalies, trends or deviations and introduce strategies for improvement

Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and in team settings
