Job DescriptionThe Corporate Communications Manager will leverage Visa's communication strategies and brand voice to develop and manage programs with internal and external stakeholders. This role aims to ensure consistent and impactful messaging that enhances Visa's reputation and supports business objectives.
Corporate Communications offers the opportunity to work closely with teams such as Sales, Government Engagement, Marketing, and Visa Consulting on projects involving Issuers, Acquirers, and Merchants. Based in Stockholm, this role will collaborate on projects across Scandinavia and the Baltics, identifying key communication opportunities, developing strategies, and measuring their effectiveness.
The Manager will support the Head of Corporate Communications Nordics & Baltics in various activities, including employee engagement, media relations, issues management, PR announcements, content creation, and campaigns.
Responsibilities include:
· Developing PR concepts from idea to execution to position Visa and tell our story
· Overseeing Visa’s agency partners on communications and content projects
· Managing media inquiries and seeking opportunities for media coverage, as well as monitoring and reporting
· Leading PR announcements, drafting press releases and blogs, and creating integrated, multi-channel communications plans
· Producing, distributing, and measuring success for organic content across managed platforms like LinkedIn and internal communications platforms to drive engagement
· Preparing briefing documents for senior executive engagements
· Developing messaging for external audiences that demonstrate Visa's value to European economies, people, and businesses
· Promoting the value of communications through strong reporting and activity measurement
· Contributing to the tracking, recording, and reporting of issues management and reputation risk programs
· Supporting communications crisis preparedness work
· Ensuring all policies and processes are robustly managed and evidenced
· Collaborating with Government Engagement to navigate the external environment as well as partnering with regional and in-market teams in Europe
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsOur ideal candidate will:
· Experience of qualified public relations/corporate communications experience, including media relations and issues management, in an in-house or agency environment
· Possess exceptional written and verbal skills in Danish or Norwegian, as well as in English; proficiency in other European languages is an advantage.
· Be an agile, confident thinker, able to grasp complex topics quickly
· Be well-organized and able to manage communications projects and processes, ensuring operational excellence
· Write clearly and concisely, incorporating corporate narrative and storytelling
· Collaborate effectively as a team player, building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, business stakeholders, and agency partners
· Achieve results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often under tight deadlines
· Have a curiosity to develop deep knowledge and understanding of Visa's opportunities and challenges
· Stay up to date with industry trends and communications best practices, channels, tools, and techniques
