Manager, Compliance Retail Testing

In Compliance, we help our business partners achieve their strategic priorities by promoting principles and practices that build client trust and safeguard the integrity of the firm. We are currently offering the opportunity for a dynamic and engaging Compliance Manager to join the team to conduct testing of our branch and non-branch locations. The Manager is an individual contributor and will conduct testing to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of certain internal controls, policies, procedures, and systems designed to achieve and/or monitor compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The Manager will remain current on regulatory developments, enterprise-wide policies and procedures, as well as develop and foster strong partnerships across Compliance, Legal, Corporate Risk Management, and with business partners.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible to:

Complete standardized testing program that includes applicable internal and regulatory requirements and adhere to established compliance testing policies and procedures.Conduct remote/virtual and onsite compliance testing and interviews of personnel to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and corporate policy.Conduct remote/virtual and onsite testing of Residential Supervisory Locations (RSL) and/or Home Offices of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ).Complete assigned testing in accordance with the annual testing plan and adequately document the evaluation of the effectiveness of the internal controls.Confirm that compliance findings identified during testing are followed-up on, and corrective action plans are properly executed to comply with corporate policy or applicable regulatory requirements.Communicate (verbal and written) with business and Compliance management on testing results while working to ensure timely completion, including the validation of all corrective actions.Maintain a strong working knowledge of SRO rules (e.g. FINRA, SEC, NFA), as well as federal and state regulations.What you have

Required Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience within financial services with a general understanding of financial holding company, bank, broker-dealer and investment advisory businesses, as well as testing standards/methodologies.Understanding of FRB, SEC, FINRA, NFA, OCC, Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations.Familiarity with the execution of Second Line of Defense compliance testing including compliance risk management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Professional licensing and/or compliance certifications (e.g., FINRA Series 7, 66, Investment Adviser Representative, CRCP and CAMS).Ability to independently identify opportunities for improvement and enhance overall Compliance programs.Sound judgment to influence a strong risk management culture across business practices.Mastery of appropriate interpersonal styles and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels within the enterprise.Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail.Takes initiative and is self-directed.Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.Strong team player with the ability to build solid partnerships.Strong communication skills.Understanding and experience with Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).Ability to travel 15% during the course of the year (roughly one week a month).
