Organizational

The Zenith Competitive Intelligence Team provides advertising intelligence that yields insights resulting in a marketplace advantage for Zenith’s clientbase.  Our goal is to daily deliver the most accurate, most timely and most granular competitive media spending reports & analysis in our client’s categories. 

 

Individual

The position of the Competitive Intelligence Supervisor is to act as the primary contact for competitive media requests and workflow. The Supervisor has a strong knowledge of the market & industry trends and will assume a leadership position on the clients’ business needs/concerns.  The Supervisor is an intricate component to the Competitive team with strong teamwork and delegation skills.  The Supervisor will report to the SVP - Competitive Intelligence and/or the Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence. 

Responsibilities:

Individual

Lead the development of imaginative reports based on understanding of our clients businesses.Ability to think and write in a logical flow; competently present and defend analysis daily.Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; open and able to learn new software and innovative ways of using old software.Proficient writing and public speaking skills.Willing to work with others as well as be a self-sufficient

 

Organizational

Can write and present research analysis and understand media plans.Communicate with clients, and other agency departmentsFoster internal/agency communications and relationships.Establish vendor relationships.

 

Team

Train competitive assistants in a variety of required systems and processes.Encourage creativity and pro-activity of competitive team.Supervise work flow to guarantee timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications3-4 years of experience in media research, planning, strategy, or account management.Agency experience not necessary but would be a plus.Proficient across all channels (print, TV, radio, interactive, OOH).Have solid command of industry research and trends.Organized, detail oriented.  Expects excellence and accuracy.Familiar with Vivvix or Pathmatics.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week in our temporary Birmingham, MI location. This position will move to our permanent location in downtown Detroit when the office opens, with the same 3 days per week hybrid schedule.
