Manager, Community and Specialty Pharmacy Financial Operations

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Manager, Community and Specialty Pharmacy Financial Operations to join our Central Pharmacy Distribution Center Operations. This is a remote position that required residency in KY or IN.

This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance and revenue cycle processes across various community and specialty pharmacy services. The scope of the role includes community pharmacies, shared services pharmacies, ambulatory care pharmacy services, specialty pharmacy services and 340B drug pricing programs.

Essential Functions:

Overseeing the revenue cycle process for the community and specialty pharmacy servicesImplementing and monitoring effective billing practices and procedures for various pharmacy servicesPreparing and monitoring community and specialty pharmacy services monthly financial reports in consultation with system and department leadership.Forecasting drug expenses for purposes of revenue and expense budget planningDelivering comprehensive reporting to senior management that communicates relevant trends, KPIs, and analytical insight into performanceDeveloping and implementing effective strategies for timely and successful collections.Monitoring and reconciling accounts receivable transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly. Maintaining accurate records and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure smooth closing processesPreparing regular reports and providing insights into financial metrics, aging reports, and cash flow projectionsDeveloping and implementing revenue cycle training programs for managers and staff within the departmentDirecting patient accounting activities to maintain accuracy as well as optimize and accelerate reimbursement for the services provided

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, Information Technology, Statistics or related field3+ years relevant experience in an accounting or finance rolePrevious experience in data analytics and business strategy, managing referral processes, or working with 340B program referrals within a healthcare organizationStrong understanding of pharmacy business and/or data analytics. Knowledge and experience with Revenue Cycle and BI/Analytics tools such as payment modeling, auditing and denial managementExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations
