What This Position is All About :

The Manager of Corporate Communications is a key member of the Communications team, supporting the development and execution of the company’s corporate communications strategy. This individual will lead the Internal Communications for corporate SFA and Stores. They are responsible for developing, planning,organizing, gathering, and editing various forms of communication (written and visual) to keep the organization informed. The role is responsible for working with internal partners to communicate with stores in a consistent manner and followingappropriate policies and procedures. The role actively consults with internal partners in supporting the development and execution of various strategic projects such as new tools, processes or programs. They will partner closely with leadership to ensure everyone in the organization receives the information and resources required for the business.

Experience working directly with the media, with an understanding of journalist timelines and requirements Basic understanding of social media platforms, including LinkedIn Strong writing skills and business acumen

You Also Have:

Bachelor’s Degree (degree in Communications, English, Journalism or a related discipline preferred) Minimum 3-6 years working experience in communications Retail experience preferred but not required Understanding and passion for the retail industry Superior writing skills, an ability to simplify concepts and to tailor messaging for specific audiences. Writing samples required. Strong researching, editing and proofreading skills and attention to detail Strong organizational skills, ability to produce high quality content while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. Ability to respond quickly to internal demands and a changing workload; proven ability to multitask and prioritize A strong sense of urgency, ownership and personal responsibility A high degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as member of a team Strong creative skills for building presentations and videos (graphic design skills an asset); Familiarity with Canva Ability to learn new technology and systems quickly Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite required

As The Manager, Communications You Will: 

Draft, edit, and send Internal Communications for Corporate SFA and Stores Work with Senior Leadership to identify communication opportunities and manage content calendar, including owning the SFA LinkedIn strategy Partner with internal business partners to ensure messages are clear and timely Lead centralized communication of store priorities across all functions (Selling, Service, Operations, Visual, Marketing and Human Resources)Gather and send required materials for cadenced and standalone communications Drive efficiency and effectiveness in Full Line communication using a streamlined format and by proactively considering impact and dependencies of initiatives that affect the stores. Manage/update various distribution lists Develop elevated communication materials such as Storewide Presentations, Videos, etc to support key store initiatives as well as support content development for conferences and summits Maintain ownership of Internal Resource Sites and regularly upload new content Create visuals to support store initiatives related to the above Support needs of the team or business through additional duties to advance a particular project or request Provide ongoing evaluation of the communication vehicles used by stores to ensure relevance and usefulness of tools Partner with the business to optimize and review current policies and procedures Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

Salary and Other Compensation:

The starting salary for this position is between $70,000 - $75,000 annually.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for bonus.
