Manager, Case Management

Job Summary:  Lead, manage, and coordinate daily operations of Case Management. Manages complex cases, long stay patient needs. Assist Assistant Manager with schedules, PTO requests, and holiday staffing if needed. Facilitates expedited appeals with insurances for post-acute authorizations when appropriate. Serves as backup in absence of department director. Shares twenty-four hour accountability for Case Management department staff. Assists with department policy updates. Participates in interviews of potential department candidates. Applies Cares Culture across department

 

Qualifications:   Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license).  BSN required. Two years of Case Management experience required.  One year leadership experience required.   Demonstrated leadership skills, effective communication skills, ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families.  Ability to manage, coach and motivate staff with positive interactions and results.  Certification preferred.
