Summary:
The Best Execution Manager is responsible for leading the Best Execution High Risk team and managing assigned high-risk files within Default. The role requires partnering with multiple departments within Servicing and Default, as well as working with attorney firms, Freedom In-House Legal, municipalities, insurance carriers, litigation firms, and any other entities as required to resolve and mitigate high-risk issues. The Manager will follow directed processes on a case-by-case basis for negotiating, determining solutions with legal firms, delivering information to Freedom Senior Management, title solutions, and other solutions as required. Solutions will be documented on the Best Execution work platform. The Manager is required to have extensive experience and knowledge of property preservation, hazard policies, code violations, agency claims guidelines, and Freedom policies. As the Best Execution Manager, responsibilities include managing the team reviewing high-risk, high-touch Best Execution loans and ensuring follow-up is completed promptly, and Senior Management takeaways are responded to as quickly as possible. Following up with counsel, internal Legal team, and affected departments until resolutions of issues can be achieved. Critical thinking skills, negotiation skills, and applying common sense are crucial to the role, in addition to good interpersonal skills when dealing with attorneys and difficult situations with customers, customer counsel, code enforcement officials, and insurance adjusters.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Comprehending complex issues and developing/presenting proposed solutions to senior management mitigating loss to Freedom
Extensive knowledge of all agency servicing guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA/FHLMC) as well as standard code requirements, title requirements, hazard/repair knowledge, property insurance claim experience, and general business knowledge
Strong critical thinking skills and problem solving ability thinking of multiple alternative solutions to reduce risk and loss
Strong ability to document conversations accurately and interpret data
Extensive knowledge of Excel and the ability to build reports and analyze data.
Recommend resolutions and enhancements to procedures that will reduce timelines, identify process gaps, and limit costs to Freedom
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Understanding of the Default Life Cycle of a loan based on insurer and investor guidelines
Strong understanding of FHA, VA and GSE Default Servicing Guidelines

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma and five (5) to eight (8) years of default servicing experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University and eight (8) years of related experienced preferred
Three (3) to Five (5) years of management experience
