MANAGEMENT ANALYST (AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS)-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

In this position you will manage the integrated maintenance production and management information systems. Develop and utilize automated products and solutions to provide meaningful weapons systems data enabling senior maintenance managers to make sound decisions to improve unit performance. Research and compare historical performance and initiate special studies using operations research, process improvement, or applied statistical methods. Manage Maintenance Information Systems such as Integrated Maintenance Data System or Field Maintenance Command & Control (FMxC2/G081) for system access, troubleshooting customer issues, or system security. Author data retrievals and extraction of data from information systems for transformation in office automation applications. Languages include Structured Query Langue, InfoAssist+, Visual Basic, and Powershell. Collects, reviews, and analyzes maintenance, production scheduling, supply, training, and quality assurance data for trends and defects. Performs independent research and analysis on complex problems and leverages technical skills to identify effective solutions that cover a wide range of mission or organizational needs. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series positions located here GENERALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work OR EDUCATION: The successful completion of a 4-year course study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed, qualifying education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. General experience directly related to the work of the position may be used to meet the requirements of this position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS) and the CAMS-FM ( for Mobility)/GO81 information systems. Ability to communicate, both orally an in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures summarizing results and making appropriate recommendations. Knowledge to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conceptualize, and devise innovative solutions to problems or changes in trends related to resource requirements, availability, capability, and utilization. Ability to develop and utilize programming, query language or data mining, and appropriate data collection techniques.
