Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and report on financial data to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.
Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts to support business objectives.
Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic goals.
Provide insights on cost management and operational efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with Shariah principles in all management accounting practices and reports.
Assist in developing pricing strategies and profitability analyses for products and services.
Contribute to the preparation of management reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) certification or progress toward certification is required.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
Experience in Islamic banking or financial services is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Familiarity with South African financial regulations and tax laws.
Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of Shariah-compliant financial practices is desirable.
