**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.
Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems.
This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices and applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.
The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) focusses across two or more technology domains such as (but not limited to) Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration and may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.
**What you'll be doing**
**SCCM Administrator**
NTT Data is looking to fill the role of SCCM administrator, on contract basis. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications listed below for this role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Create complex and dynamic collections, advertisements, queries, reports, other technical documents as required and manage local and remote site boundaries, site systems, site roles, inter-site dependencies and communication
+ Ensure timely deployment of software updates, critical patches, and out-of-band releases
+ Maintain and update current OSD images and documentation for both servers and workstations
+ Provide support and in-depth troubleshooting to any and all issues related to the SCCM infrastructure or functionality
+ Create custom OSD Task Sequences utilizing Microsoft scripting technologies and components such as PowerShell, VBScript, WMI, .NET and XML, that will aid in deployment of software, packages, and configurations of operating systems, packaged software, and in-house applications
+ Create, update and maintain standard operating procedure and knowledge base documentation for software deployment, imaging and patching in our ITSM tool
+ Accountable for continuously evolving, and innovating the end-user computing environment while aligning with business strategies
+ Deployment of operating system images, security patches, applications and settings
+ Monitoring and reporting on key metrics
+ Provide technical guidance to SCCM team and customer
+ Leads and plans upgrades, changes, or implementations for System Center Configuration Manager Components while following established change control procedures
+ Responsible for coordinating and implementing Configuration management for the project and/or organization maintaining the resulting product throughout its lifecycle
+ Through understanding of enterprise data center technologies such as networking, data security, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), SAN and physical datacenter best practices sufficient to resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems, and administer and support technical operating system and enterprise data
+ Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment
+ Lead and drive definition, implementation and enforcement of systems administration operational processes, procedures, policies and associated documentation
+ Research, identify, and drive the implementation of innovative approaches to system administration tasks with a focus on automation, error reduction and service improvement
+ Managing the Windows client image, application packaging and scripting, and related project work
+ Monthly deployment of security patches to Windows Servers
+ Communicate with a wide variety of users from executives to individual users
+ Assist in the creation\updating of SCCM documentation
+ Create custom test environments to provide proof of concept before implementing into production
+ Develop implementation strategies and deployment schedules in concert with those impacted and competently work multiple projects simultaneously
+ Validate deployment plans for compliance with existing performance limitations of the enterprise server's software
+ Provide monthly reporting of patching activity
+ Maintain the health of the SCCM environment including clients, servers and distribution points
**Qualifications for SCCM administrator**
+ Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of overall related Systems Administration experience
+ 5-8 years’ experience with SCCM, patch management, software deployment
+ 5-8 years in an Operations Support role for an Enterprise larger than 1500 desktops, 300 servers
+ In depth experience with scripting to include, but not limited to, Windows PowerShell
+ Knowledge of Packaging and Sequencing
+ Practical, hands-on experience and demonstrable technical competence with administrative and operational tools
+ Knowledge of server and client application administration
+ Experience with other MS System Centre applications desirable
+ Windows system internals, network design principles, and routing knowledge
+ Highly motivated and have the ability to work in a highly demanding, challenging and fast-moving work environment
+ Ability to work well under pressure and with an eye for detail
+ Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own time
+ Document issues and resolutions using the current Ticket Management system
**Education and Certifications**
Education:
Bachelors degree in a related field
Certifications: Anyone of MCSE, IAT, SCCM, MCSA, II, ITIL, MCITP, SSCP, GSEC, MCTS
