Managed Assets Business Consultant
Job Descriptions: D.A. Davidson is seeking a highly motivated Managed Assets Business Consultant who will act as the liaison between the WM Advisor Solutions Team (AST) and Financial Professionals. This individual will develop a deep understanding of the programs, products and research capabilities at D.A. Davidson and be responsible for providing consistent advice and consulting to advisors. This person will report to the Director of Managed Assets and will be an integral partner within AST. Required Experience: Qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 7+ years of related professional experience.* Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), preferred, or desire to work towards obtaining.* Strong understanding of the various products and services offered at D.A. Davidson. * Wealth Management background with an in-depth knowledge of advisory programs and platforms.* Experience working directly with Financial Advisors in the advisory space.* Seasoned knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, financial and investment principles, economics, and conditions affecting the securities market. * In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements for securities products and services.* Series 7, 63, 65 and/or 66 required. * Experience utilizing Envestnet technology strongly preferred.* Proven ability to think analytically and strategically and to implement initiatives seeing projects to completion. * Excellent communication and presentations skills with the ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships. * Ability to travel (50%) to branches in the Davidson footprint, sometimes with short notice. Duties:* Responsible for bringing awareness, program training, and providing advice to advisors on all aspects of the Managed Assets offerings and broader wealth management products.* Develop a process for delivering portfolio advice by leveraging firm-wide research capabilities.* Provide ongoing proactive and reactive holistic portfolio analysis and support to financial advisors. * Educate advisors on how alternatives and structured products fit in a client’s asset allocation.* Work with Rep-as-PM advisors to conduct model reviews.* Broaden research visibility both internally and externally using various mediums. * Conduct proactive in-person and virtual presentations to branch offices across the D.A. Davidson footprint.* Develop an understanding of how financial advisors utilize programs and act as a field advocate, providing feedback and advice to the business unit.* Work in close collaboration with the Supervision, Compliance and Legal teams to build and maintain key relationships, promoting a culture of compliance.* Lead the department’s Rep-as-PM Advisory Council.* Heavily contribute and present at various firm conferences.* Contribute to firm’s thought leadership as a member of the AST Leadership team.* Other duties as assigned. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This role is eligible for appreciable incentive compensation through D.A. Davidson’s applicable variable compensation programs.
