This dual-modality job performs both Mammography breast and bone density imaging exams but also Ultrasound exams to create the images needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
Your Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Provide optimal patient care remaining sensitive to the needs of patients through patient assessment and monitoring Receive, relay and document all verbal, written and electronic orders in the patient’s medical record Evaluate images for proper positioning, technical quality and ensuring proper identification is recorded, as well as and determine if additional images will improve the procedure or treatment outcome Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians. Education - Graduate of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program preferred License/certification Current ARDMS (OB or AB or RVT) Certification OR Current ARRT(RT)(S) or ARRT(RT)(VS) Registered OR Current CCI (RVS) Registered) (Required) Radiologic Technologist by the State of Indiana and ARRT(R) Registry. OR Radiology Student Permit by the State of Indiana and ARRT registry eligible. ARRT(R) registry and Radiologic Technologist License by the State of Indiana be obtained within six months) (Certified Mammography (M)(ARRT)) within one year of hire
