We are seeking a Full Time Mammography/X-Ray Technologist for our Brandon Radiology office. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM. This position is responsible for performing Mammogram exams within the department. Candidates should have at least three years of experience and a digital certification in Mammography. ARRT and Mammography Registered or Eligible.

Mammography certification or registry eligible required.
Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
Evaluates images for technical quality.
Performs QC.

Keys to Success in this Role:

Review schedules for patient appointment times Ensure encounter and prescription with diagnosis is correct before performing the exam Interview patient and obtain history Critique images before sending to Radiologist via PACS May be responsible for Quality Control for the Mammography machine Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Current Florida ARRT license Mammography Certification or registry eligible Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography related procedures. Evaluates images for technical quality. Performs QC Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation procedures Skilled in patient positioning and knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques Strong team player Able to work independently Strong customer service skills Basic computer proficiency Three years of experience in a similar role required CT experience a plus!

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

Physical ability: may require some bending, lifting, and/or assistance to patients as well as long periods of sitting. Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making. High level of verbal and written communication. Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Occupational Exposure:

 

Moderate risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
