Requirements:
Qualified fitter At least 5 years experience concrete plants or a similar environment Knowledge of the operation of concrete plants Valid Code B Drivers license Good boiler making, welding and cutting skills Basic knowledge of electrics Knowledge of pneumatics systems Knowledge of the operation of water pumps, screw conveyors, conveyor belts, mechanical systems on concrete plants, scales Prepared to work at heights and outdoor environment Deadline and time management driven Willingness to work weekends and overtime when necessary Duties will include, but not limited to:
Carry out periodic inspections on concrete plants Report any issues found that would influence the operation of plant Carry out repairs to concrete plants Assist in planning on the preventative maintenance Assist in the ordering of parts required for maintenance Carry out work in a safe environment Carry out any other duties/repairs within reason Reduce downtime on plants Assist in record keeping Assist in housekeeping Only candidates currently residing in the Western Cape Area will be considered for this position
