Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years of industrial experienceEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Maintenace Technician II to join our Waco team. This role will perform maintenance and repair on production and facility equipment; will specify and order required repair parts and supplies; and assure a safe and healthful workplace. This position will also show by example a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Improve equipment reliability by using Reliability Excellence (REX) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.Carry out preventative maintenance on production equipment. Work to continuously improve the PM checklist to prevent and eliminate repetitive failures.Plan, communicate and prioritize equipment status and equipment maintenance activity with stakeholders.Assist in planning & managing Preventive & Predictive Maintenance activities, TPM Events (Equipment Improvement Events), and rebuilds on production equipment.Perform problem-solving, failure analysis, and implement actions for failure elimination.Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Part Suppliers to troubleshoot, diagnose, identify parts, and solve equipment issues.Disassembles machinery to repair and/or replace defective components, reassemble, test, and communicate ready status.Tear down and repair or replace major drive and hydraulic sections of production machinery, reassemble and test.Examines parts for defects, such as premature breakage or excessive wear. Edit PM checklists accordingly.Utilize gauges and dials and use infrared imaging, and other meters to make sure machinery is working and lubing properly.Lead a team of Technicians to a successful team repair with clear and respectful communications.Communicate the timing of project phases and task hand-offs with production, other shifts, and other working groups.Records repair time, parts, and maintenance notes in the Maintenance Management System on every job.Assist in organizing and monitoring spare parts inventory and advise when spare parts need replacement.Train and develop other technicians’ skills and knowledge through respectful coaching and teaching.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures.Maintain 100% compliance and completion of all required training.
