Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for working on fully automated material handling equipment, including conveyors, sorting machines, cranes, transfer machines, palletizers, and shrink wrappers. The role requires updating preventive maintenance schedules and work orders using Microsoft Office and documenting activity conducted on equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair on automated equipment.Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis on PLC systems.Read and interpret schematics to identify equipment faults.Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Operate and set up equipment as required.Document maintenance activities and update PMs and work orders using Microsoft Office.Order parts and manage inventory as needed.Possibly engage in fabrication and welding activities.Maintain a positive work attitude during training and daily operations.Essential SkillsExperience with electrical systems and mechanical maintenance and repair.Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Ability to read and interpret schematics.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in fabrication and welding is a plus.Experience with parts ordering.Ability to use manual mill and lathe is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The Maintenance Technician will work as part of a 37-member team in a cold storage environment with varying temperatures of 55, 34, and -5 degrees in different facility areas. The role involves working around industrial machinery, and the dress code requires steel toe boots, coats, and gloves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
