Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** A Maintenance Technician installs, adjusts, maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems. This role is essential in maintaining the productivity level and quality performance of the equipment within the facility. **Responsibilities** + Analyze mechanical, CNC, and other operational problems on assigned equipment. + Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. + Examine, test, and measure equipment for operational and quality specifications, using gauges and instruments. + Record data as appropriate. + Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections, report findings, and take appropriate corrective actions. + Install and repair industrial equipment. + Check and repair pumps, fans, valves, motors, and other peripheral components. + Adjust, repair, and replace electrical control components. + Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlet fixtures, and motors in the equipment. + Perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, oil changes, and replacement of parts. + Assist in the training, leading, and supervision of small groups of maintenance personnel, including the scheduling of work assignments. + Access and manipulate various objects, tools, or controls. + Perform general maintenance duties related to facility maintenance under direct or indirect supervision. + Patching, painting, general repair, and replacement work as required. + Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems following standard operating procedures. + Assist with facility maintenance projects as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in Amada CNC Machinery + Proficiency in Trumpf Laser Cutting Machinery + Experience in preventive maintenance + Ability to read blueprints and schematics + Machine operation skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school or GED diploma + Two plus years of experience in building and maintenance work + Ability to read and interpret service manuals and drawings + Strong organizational and communication skills + Ability to detect defects in equipment and make proper repairs + Ability to work from sketches, diagrams, and prints, and in the care and use of tools and equipment used in trades involved **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing company with endless room for advancement. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, and continuous movement throughout the shift. Must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs. in the proper ergonomic position. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
