**Job Title:** **Maintenance Technician (Plastic Extrusion Plant)**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking **Maintenance Technicians** to join our team. Ideal candidates will have experience in dismantling and reassembling equipment, troubleshooting hydraulics, and performing equipment repairs. While plastics knowledge is a plus, it is not required. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where mechanical and electrical expertise is critical for maintaining the plant’s operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Troubleshoot and repair **hydraulic systems** , **pneumatics** , and mechanical equipment such as **gears** , **boilers** , and **pumps** .
+ Perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency of plant machinery and equipment.
+ Dismantle and reassemble equipment for maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
+ Read and interpret **blueprints** , **schematics** , and **equipment manuals** to effectively diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
+ Work with **electrical systems** including **480-volt** motors.
+ Ensure adherence to **safety protocols** , including proper use of **lockout/tagout** procedures and compliance with all **safety regulations** .
+ Operate hand tools, welding equipment, lathes, and mills for repair and maintenance tasks.
+ Contribute to **facility maintenance** and upkeep, ensuring that all systems and equipment run smoothly and efficiently.
**Skills & Qualifications:**
+ At least **2-3 years** of experience in **manufacturing maintenance** .
+ Strong mechanical background with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing **hydraulics** , **gears** , **boilers** , **pumps** , and related equipment.
+ **Electrical knowledge** , including experience with **PLCs** , **480V systems** , and **motors** .
+ Experience with **extrusion equipment** , **plastic processing** , and **injection molding** is a plus but not required.
+ Ability to read and interpret **blueprints** , **product manuals** , and **safety protocols** .
+ **3 years of experience** in **safety training** and compliance with **lockout/tagout** procedures.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Must be open to **shift work** and **rotating schedules** .
+ Knowledge of **preventive maintenance** and equipment repair best practices.
**Additional Skills & Experience:**
+ **Welding** , **lathe** , and **mill** operation experience is a plus.
+ **Plastics** manufacturing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
+ **Pneumatic** systems knowledge is beneficial.
**Shift Availability:**
+ Must be available for **shift work** and **rotating schedules** to meet the needs of the plant's operational demands.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
