**Position Summary**
The Maintenance Technician handles routine and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring hotel facilities operate efficiently and meet quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues while adhering to safety and company policies. A successful candidate will contribute to guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, functional, and visually appealing hotel environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Preventative Maintenance:**
+ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments (e.g., "room care").
+ **Repairs and Work Orders:**
+ Complete work orders from guests and hotel associates and record activities in logs.
+ Check and perform minor repairs or replacements for electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems.
+ **Equipment and Systems Maintenance:**
+ Conduct routine repairs on hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC systems, and general plumbing systems (e.g., pipelines, toilets, and sinks).
+ Service the hotel's pool, including chemical adjustments and filter cleaning.
+ **Furniture and Fixture Refurbishment:**
+ Refurbish guest room furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, with tasks such as painting and finishing as needed.
+ **Grounds and Landscaping:**
+ Operate power equipment, hand tools, and vehicles associated with grounds maintenance and landscaping activities in all seasons.
+ Maintain grounds equipment and tools in proper working order and perform minor repairs as required.
+ Remove trash daily from sidewalks, grounds, landscaping, and parking lots.
+ **Guest and Associate Support:**
+ Provide friendly and prompt service for hotel guests and associates in accordance with Atrium’s Core Values.
+ **Safety and Compliance:**
+ Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
+ **Additional Duties:**
+ Perform any other tasks required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Six (6) months of maintenance experience.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
**Preferred:**
+ Hotel maintenance experience.
+ HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Certification.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally.
+ Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs regularly.
+ Able to bend and squat repeatedly.
+ Able to walk and stand for the duration of the scheduled shift.
**Other Requirements**
+ Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
