Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level Dual Craft Maintenance Technician with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read schematics and blueprints and possess experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, valves, air compressors, boilers, and more. Training on ammonia will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesAssembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.Demonstrating electrical competency for troubleshooting and familiarity with electrical principles and components.Welding and fabricating parts and equipment.Using an electrical meter for testing purposes.Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.Knowledgeable in piping systems, pipe fittings, pumps and motors, valves, etc.Comprehending gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.Operating sit-down forklifts and/or articulating boom lifts.Operating a variety of hand and power tools.Maintaining a clean and organized work area.Complying with health and safety regulations.Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.Maintaining a strong working relationship with all plant departments.Writing routine reports and correspondence.Essential SkillsExperience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.Mechanical aptitude and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and repair.Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Experience with pumps, valve repair, conveyor maintenance, air compressors, boiler maintenance, welding, and 3-phase electrical systems.Ability to operate and test using electrical meters.Skill in welding and fabrication.Experience in maintaining piping systems, gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.Ability to operate forklifts and boom lifts.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with diaphragm pumps.Industrial maintenance experience.2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.High school diploma or GED; trade certification or vocational school graduate preferred.Strong computer skills.Physical dexterity and ability to perform physical tasks.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and/or push, pull, or move heavy machinery and/or drums.Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This job is performed in a climate-controlled food manufacturing plant. Candidates will not be required to be clean-shaven but must wear a hair/beard net.
