Job Description

Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for a direct hire maintenance technician with a client in Durham. In this role, the candidate is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and prompting repairs of facilities and mechanical or electrical equipment.

Monday-Friday 6am-3pm (on call Sunday-Thursday evenings as needed, doesn't happen often but is a possibility)$24.00/hour (Could be more based on experience)Provide preventive maintenance and prompt repairs on conveyor system, forklifts, HVAC, andany other equipment needed for the warehouse operations to run smoothlyOversee outside contractual laborObtain bids for any equipment or special projects

For this role you will be tasked with:

Monthly maintenance tasks, including oil conveyorQuarterly maintenance tasks such as changing AC filters, servicing forklifts, and removing covers and greasing bearingsEquipment repair and preventive maintenanceTest sprinkler systemOversee outside contractor workRepair plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systemsMaintenance and testing of sprinkler systems, fire pump, backflow valve, and alarm systemsObtain bids for contract work, materials, or equipment for special projects

Work Experience

For this role we are looking for:

5+ years of experience in maintenance in a warehouse settingTrade certification preferredMechanically inclinedForklift certifiedAbility to operate machinery and equipmentBuilding/facility maintenance experience (alarm, sprinkler, conveyor)
