Our client is a distributor of fresh products and is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician in Oxnard, CA. You will perform pre-trip inspections of over-the-road chassis/containers used for customer orders.

This is a Monday to Saturday opportunity paying $18.50/hour.

Responsibilities:

Perform pre-trip inspections of over-the-road chassis and containers used for customer orders.Conduct quarterly BIT inspections of company chassis to comply with DOT and California regulations.Perform necessary repairs on chassis and containers to keep them in road-safe condition.Handle scheduled maintenance and repairs on generator sets.Repair containers and yard equipment as needed to support daily operations.Keep all shop equipment and tools clean, organized, and properly located.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Execute other duties as needed and/or requested by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in vehicle maintenance, or 18 months of vocational training in diesel or automotive repair.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently or as part of a team.Practical experience using hand tools, air tools, and/or power tools.Ability to drive and operate a forklift is preferred.Proficiency in English is required; Spanish bilingual is preferred.Welding experience is a plus.

Schedule and Compensation:

Monday to Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM$18.50 per hour
