Our client, a manufacturing and distribution company is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for their location in San Fernando, CA. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work well independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.

The Day-to-Day:

Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed.Performs routine maintenance on building systems.Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities.Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaUnderstands and follows basic verbal and written instructions.Must be flexible and reliableMaintain the production pace of other team members.Prompt and regular attendanceAbility to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.Ability to use hand tools and power tools.Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$19.00 /hrMonday to Friday6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
