Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician you will perform daily checks on plastic injection molding machines and
other production equipment to prevent malfunctions and reduce machine downtime.
Major Responsibilities Performs PM’s, basic repairs, inspections, adjusts and/or replaces worn parts, and documents work performed. Performs inventory of supplies used by maintenance department. Inspects and maintains electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic components and maintains equipment safety features. Performs other plant PM or repairs to include lighting and auxiliary equipment. Maintains 5s cleanliness standards. Utilizes safety equipment as appropriate for the work being performed. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Skills Required High school diploma or GED. Must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry. Injection molding experience preferred but not required. Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and hydraulic schematics. Good verbal and written communication skills with excellent time management skills. Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit, bend and stand for long periods of time and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
