About the role
Takes lead on projects and provides guidance to junior maintenance workers
Responsible for repairs to plant equipment, installation of new equipment, and building maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintains a positive attitude amidst unplanned events and a willingness to be flexible with work volume and type.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to plant-wide programs in safety, quality, engineering, or production.
Knowledge of PLCs with ability to program.
Must be able to calibrate and troubleshoot food safety critical control points (CCCs).
Ability to weld, to include stainless Steel.
Demonstrates a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues without direct oversight.
Work with various hand tools, power tools, welders and cutting equipment to repair plant equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment; work with low voltage DC and 120, 220 and 480 volt AC power based on Electrician guidelines.
Qualifications and skills
Ability to proficiently use Kerry Systems, to include SAP, CMMS and MySuccess. Document tasks in SAP.
Works in confined spaces as required.
Performs relief work as a Boiler Mechanic, as licensing and schedules necessitate. Operate forklift and aerial lifts.
Obtain necessary permits for Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO as needed and in accordance with Company Safety Protocols.
Help as required in the parts storeroom. Help coordinate parts ordering and keep inventory.
Perform tasks related to Sanitation PM as direct in MSS.
Complete any paperwork or shift reports as requested.
Follow all the safety and quality programs and policies.
