Maintenance Technician

 

 

KTVT/KTXA, the CBS-owned facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex seeks a highly qualified teammate to provide maintenance services at our studio facility in Fort Worth, TX. We are a dynamic, fast-paced group dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the business of covering News and providing excellent Television in the nation’s 5th market. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, a detailed understanding of all broadcast-related systems and processes, and an understanding of the role of the Engineering Group as a support organization to the News efforts of the facility. Candidate should be self-motivated and able to work under little supervision. Candidate should also be able to address and prioritize the execution order under high stress. Other duties include daily system checks with preventative maintenance practices.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant should have 5+ years of Broadcast Engineering experience and possess the following: Excellent project management skills, including design, documentation, and system integration. Traceable expertise in broadcast-related IT systems. Experience in fixing electronic circuits to the component level. An AA/AS degree or certificate in electronics advanced Engineering Technology degree or applicable electronics study and/or experience. FCC General Class License or SBE certification is preferred.
