**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment. The production process involves extruding products through rollers, injecting chemicals, heating, and then slitting and sawing sheets to specifications. These sheets are then maneuvered by robotic arms for stacking and palletizing for shipment. The candidate will receive work orders and respond to tasks via radio.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems for all production equipment.
+ Modify new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
+ Work with 110, 220, and 440 volt systems, AC/DC Drives, and high and low voltage controls.
+ Troubleshoot electrical problems to the component level.
+ Monitor gauges and pressures from the chemical process to ensure accurate flow.
+ Fix conveyors, rollers, and other mechanical parts.
+ Work with pneumatics and some hydraulics systems.
+ Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair, including gear replacements and adjustments.
+ Use strong blueprint and electrical schematic skills daily.
+ Replace and repair various motors, including AC/CD and single and three-phase motors.
+ Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting, working with voltage up to 480V.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment.
+ Perform full tear downs and rebuilds of equipment.
+ Troubleshoot PLCs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
+ Consistent work history.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics.
+ Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues up to 480V.
+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma; Technical School or higher education preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with pumps, blenders, and compressors.
+ Experience with machine shop tools such as mills and lathes.
+ Welding skills.
+ Familiarity with Siemens and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with over 75 employees between the office and production floor. The facility includes various machines such as saws and slitters and is a busy environment with trucks loading and unloading products. The temperature varies with the season, being hot in summer and cold in winter. The job involves exposure to ambient/outside temperatures, dust, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts. Heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is part of the job. This is a team-oriented environment where communication and support among maintenance staff are key to ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

This is a Permanent position based out of FRANKLIN PARK, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
