MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work in the Electronics & Industrial (E&I) Marlborough Maintenance group providing value through maintenance support throughout the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
As a DuPont Maintenance Technician, you will provide troubleshooting and repair skills on mechanical equipment for the site. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of rotating equipment – pumps, gear boxes, motors, etc. Lubricate, clean and repair machinery, equipment, and tools. General computer skills to access documents, email, and maintenance procedures.
You will be expected to understand, perform, and identify safe behaviors. Ability to write clear and concise job tasks descriptions that detail the work being completed and how it will be done safely. You will be able to understand task given, ask questions if additional clarification is needed, and identify the safest way to perform the work. At times, the candidate may be required to review other workers or contractor’s tasks and provide a safe work permit to allow work to proceed.
Work Hours:
Must be able to work all scheduled times of the week.
Day shift: 6:45am to 7:15pm, 4 days on and 4 days off
The position offers overtime hours contingent on business demand.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
Support day to day operations with maintenance support on production equipment.
Be able to troubleshoot issues that affect manufacturing.
Be available for calls on off hours if problems arise.
Willing to take responsibility for working safely themselves and any workers under their direction.
Train new employees on use of tools and equipment.
Display mechanical aptitude to fix and install manufacturing and facility type equipment.
Identify areas of improvement including design changes and preventive maintenance improvements.
Interact with production operators to understand issues and concerns and address appropriately.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with people (Technicians, Engineers, Management) at all levels of the organization.
Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be creative and innovative.
Ability to work well with large teams either as a contributor or as a team leader
Ability to learn quickly and willing to expand knowledge and develop skills in related fields of the competency
Ability to set priorities/organize work.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Your qualifications profile:
Required:
A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
Minimum 4 years industrial maintenance experience
Must be able to meet Dupont’s Operations safety requirements.
Use of PPE – personal protective equipment, adherence of Dupont safety standards and processes
General computer skills - familiar with Microsoft software tools.
