Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

As an essential part of the team, you will perform maintenance activities to fix, improve, and/or repair items to maintain functioning within their operating specifications. You will execute these activities, notify any new problems observed, and confirm work is complete.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years relevant work experience in Industrial Maintenance within a manufacturing environment Corrugator or Converting Manufacturing Processes experience (preferred) Must have Mechanical, electrical & automation knowledge. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations Must have good communication skills, able to work in a systematic and rigorous way Successful Candidate will be service oriented and possess a sense of urgency with a strong will to deliver results Ability to troubleshoot 480V Industrial, as well as 120V Residential Wiring. Ability to troubleshoot 120VAC and 24VDC Control Systems, as well as adding to existing controls when needed. Familiar with AC and DC Drives. Familiar with Allen Bradley, Kollmorgen and B&R Logix Systems a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Resolve machine breakdown issues with minimal impact to production Enter work orders for items discovered that needed to be repaired Carry out regular maintenance, process improvements, and project activities to ensure equipment breakdown delay is minimized, process capability is maximized, and production and quality performance targets are met Complete all planned maintenance activities within the specified time frame of the PM schedule Ensure that all work is carried out accurately, to a high standard and within agreed timescales Exercises effective decision making with respect to the cost of repairs Research more cost effective and efficient ways of repairing and maintaining machinery Communicate directly with Operations Team to develop a team approach to maintaining Company assets Be proactive in personal development in technical skills and knowledge required for the role and be aware of changes in engineering best practice

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job Ability to perform all the job functions safely

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling) Frequently required to talk or hear The employee is required to reach with hands and arms The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Noise level in the work environment can be at times loud Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
