23.00 per hour | 221 Susan Lane, Rochester, NY, USA | Hourly | Full Time Susan Apartments is looking for a service minded maintenance professional to undertake the responsibility of upgrading & preserving the good condition and functionality of our 128 unit residential apartment community. Background in the apartment industry preferred along with general maintenance experience. Must have valid driver's license, have reliable transportation and be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Compensation package includes 50% rent discount for onsite apartment. Responsibilities: + Prepare units for occupancy. + Complete make ready work and general work orders + Walk the property to inspector for any exterior issues & report to property manager + Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards + Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) + Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary + Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality + Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed + Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) + Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) and pool maintenance + Handle residents with a pleasant and professional demeanor. + Oversee contractors work on the property with direction from Maintenance Supervisor + Complete daily paperwork + On call responsibilities as assigned by property manager Skills: + Proven experience as maintenance technician + Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, etc. + Knowledge of general maintenance duties + Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices + Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills + Good physical condition and strength + High school diploma or equivalent Benefits: + 401(k) & 401(k) matching + Dental insurance with company contribution + Vision insurance with company contribution + Health insurance with company contribution + Company paid life insurance & voluntary life insurance + Short/Long term disability + Accident & Critical Illness coverage + Employee assistance program + Employee rent discount + Paid time off + Referral program + Paid Holidays Salary: $23 per hour NOTE: Wages are determined based on the following factors candidate experience, qualifications, skill set, and internal equity *Please note in an effort to separate us from falsified job ads and other scammers, we only post legitimate job openings on trusted websites and will never ask for sensitive information such as your SSN or your bank details before the on-boarding process takes place. #NYIND
