American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor - Harvest to join the team for our new AFG manufacturing facility in Wright City, Missouri.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor must have basic knowledge of General Maintenance, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and Welding (TIG, STICK). Supervisors must be able to work either as a team or individually. Must comply with all company safety rules, lockout tagout (LOTO) and Good Manufacturing Practices
Key Responsibilities
Lead up to 10 team members to perform daily tasks and paperworkOrganize and implement mechanical and engineering projectsEnsure all assigned daily PM’s and paperwork are completedEnsure production lines are in good mechanical orderAid other teams (Production, Quality- when needed)Always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Safety PracticesSetup machinery, visually inspect, test machinery and tear down machineryListens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair machineDismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired partsCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings gears, and other parts of machineryRepairs and maintains the physical structures of the establishmentNOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorship1 year minimum in a supervisor positionHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 5 years direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environmentPossess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractorsAbility to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT)Understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manualsRead, write, and orally communicate in English and ability to work with no or little supervisionFlexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduledNOTE: this description is not intended to be all inclusive.
