Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to provide day-to-day direction, supervision, and coaching to our team. The role involves monitoring progress, directing activities, and ensuring productivity in diagnosing and completing necessary maintenance and repairs. You will ensure a well-functioning preventative maintenance program and take appropriate actions based on site performance measures and key results. Additionally, you will maintain good labor relations, morale, and discipline in the shop, initiating corrective actions when required. Ensuring personnel follow all GMP and safety policies is also a key responsibility.
ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day direction, supervision, and coaching to the team to meet site objectives and goals.Monitor progress and direct activities to ensure productivity in diagnosing and completing necessary maintenance and repairs.Ensure a well-functioning preventative maintenance program.Review site performance measures and key results, taking appropriate actions.Maintain good labor relations, morale, and discipline in the shop; initiate corrective actions when required.Ensure personnel follow all GMP and safety policies.Work with accountability groups to accomplish Key Results and 5S strategy.Maintain, repair, adjust, and operate 10 palletizers including all allied electrical and mechanical systems.Troubleshoot and repair all related packaging machine problems with competent speed and accuracy.Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, and manufacturer’s instructions.Determine materials and supplies needed to accomplish maintenance and repair.Instruct other personnel in the proper performance of their duties as required.Manage the Packaging Technicians' work schedule to ensure adequate production coverage.Essential Skills5-10+ years of experience as a maintenance supervisor.Experience in food and beverage or GMP environment is ideal, but candidates from other manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems.Proficiency in preventative maintenance and maintenance management.Supervision and maintenance supervision skills.PLC troubleshooting experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in an industrial environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematic drawings, and manufacturer’s instructions.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot packaging machines accurately and quickly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a very large, multi-building industrial facility. The main plant has been operational since the 1920s and includes multiple packaging and bagging lines. The facility spans multiple stories and houses about 300 hourly employees who are unionized. New employees will be required to join the union after 90 days. The role involves working rotating shifts, so you must be open to working days and nights, with shifts changing weekly: one week from 7am-3pm, the next week from 3pm-11pm, and the third week from 11pm-7am.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
