The engineering department at Thetford is searching for their next Maintenance supervisor.

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will report into the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with Production, Engineering and other support functions. You will co-lead the team with a second Maintenance Supervisor on a day-to-day basis and work with production to prioritise issues as they arise and assign members of the team to tasks and ensure they are supported.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Working with Production and Engineering teams to deliver effective repairs in a timely manner.Lead a team of 16 people working on a continental shift pattern. (Shared with other supervisor)Lead a process to guarantee full and effective handover of information.Drive the continuous improvement of people, equipment and process across the site.Support the development of predictive, preventative and reliability centered maintenance programs associated with production equipment.Absence and performance management for half of the team.Support in the recruitment process.Co-ordinate and correctly prioritise engineering presence at breakdowns and ensure the team is supported.Escalate issues as per company escalation process.Support department activities for the delivery and reviewing of change controls, CAPA’s and internal audit actions.

Proven experience and qualifications.

3-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience communicating with stakeholders and external sources.Good experience of working in a fast-paced environment.Experience of team management.NVQ/HNC or equivalent in mechanical and electrical engineering.Excellent communication skills.Previous experience of team management.Team workerSelf-motivated
